 The best, wish I'd had it from the start

This is the play pen you want, if you have the space . It takes up a substantial area, but is very easy to put up and take down to put away. I have two ferrets, a male and a female. They loves the space and romped and romped (I got some good toys too) Not soon after getting the playpen, however, the male began practicing jumping to get out. And too soon he was strong enough, with his extra male length/height to leap to the top rung and pull himself over (amazing).
So here's what I recommend. If you have a larger, more active ferret, order a second "bottom mat" and you can put that on the top. You can still see the ferrets running around and having fun but no escapes (the female, smaller, never was able to get out...just my oh, so determined male). If your ferrets are on the smaller side you won't need to take this extra step.
One final thing, if your ferrets are young and determined to push their limits, like mine, there is a chance they will "work" the seam of the bottom to burrow under the mat (like mine did). They couldn't get "out" because of the outer playpen, but they were under the mat and against the floor. Got to love that determination!

Perfect Playpen

I absolutely love this play pen! It's large enough to allow my ferret to run around and play safetly when I can't keep an eye on him, but it's small enough to fit in my rather cluttered living room with only a minimal amount of furniture moving.
He also can't climg out of it, which is a major part of my buying this product. What's the point of having a playpen if the ferrets can just climg out of it?
It's also easy to set up and take down. It takes less than a minute! The tote bag is also a great space-saver and is perfect for when I bring the mat on road-trips!

This playpen is so worth any cost! My ferrets absolutely love it. It is so wonderful to be able to let them enjoy themselves while keeping my furniture safe from destruction. Its large enough for their toys and homes and they can still run around and chase each other. The mat is easy to clean and keeps theor messes off of my carpet. I am so glad that I purchased this and my furries love me for it!

I bought one of these for my baby ferret, and she is one hell of a jumper, but has not made it near the top. The eyelets do have a tad too much give, but nothing a zip tie didnt take care of. This product has been a great relief since my house has a lot of nooks for her to get into and I can leave her playing and not watch her like a hawk.

This product has been well worth the money. I have had this playen for a few months now and its been fantastic, it keeps my ferrets safe when doors to outside are open, It has been escape proof, even the bigger male ferrets have not been able to escape. The travel bag is a fantastic idea to take the playpen to other peoples houses so we dont have to leave our ferrets behind. The floor mat had been ok, the only problem I had with this is my ferrets trying to escape, they have made a massive hole in the first layer. But its easy to clean and saves to floor from thier mess. The combo package is a really good deal, better than anything we can get in oz!!! Thanks for the fast international shipping ferret depot!!!

The product (ferret playpen) is absolutely terrific!
when Iīm travelling with my ferrets and it`s too cold to have them outside or it`s not allowed to have them run in the appartement, this playpen is so wonderful to have them play and move, to have so much space! They cannot break out! They tried, but it`s absolutely safe!! Thanks so much for that!

I have to agree with the one writer that said that the eye hooks that attach each panel are bad, My wife just bought me the cage and not even two times putting it up one of the eyelits broke. Well I called Ferret Depot and the customer service is second to none!!! they immediately are sending me a new one. I have to say one thing about Ferret Depot they really care about there customers, and aim to please, no hassal, no questions, just good o'l fashion customer care, It's not to often you see that any more. Thanks Ferret Depot!!!!

This is wonderful if you need a safe place for your ferrets. Our ferrets love this playpen because it's open, they don't feel cramped which also allows them to interact with kids,cats, anything else that walks into our home. Mom and Dad less stressed worrying about ferrets health. Well worth the investment!

An average product

I've had this playpen for a couple years now. It's held up well over that time. There are two problems with this product:
First, it is not tall enough. Two of my three male ferrets are able to jump up, grab the top edge and haul themselves over. It needs to be about 4 inches taller. I've had to erect a cardboard barracade to keep them from getting out.
Second, the "hooks" used to connect the individual sides together are flimsy. Putting up and taking down the playpen too often leads to broken "hinges" between the panels. This would be better served by ABS plastic pieces that can be replaced rather than bent pieces of the cage wire itself.

Escape proof playtime

This is a brilliant idea and the large playpen is very large. (5 would be comfortable here.) The mat cleans like a dream. This will make any shape you need. This is a better deal than you can get on ebay!
