Trimming your ferrets nails regularly is equally important. Frequent nail trimming will not only get the ferret accustomed to the procedure, but will also prevent scratching you and the possibility of the nails getting caught in the carpet or their cage accessories. It is always a good idea to have a styptic powder available in case the nail is cut too short and begins to bleed.
